The Story of Water

Using data from well documented case studies on water, artist Nandita Kumar, on an India Foundation of Arts grant, is creating a complex graphical notation score, that depicts the journey of water. I am writing a book based on the score. From the rise of sea surface temperatures, to the presence of radon in the groundwater of Bangalore, to the disaster of the Aral sea and the droughts of Marathwada, we travel back and forth in time to understand the nature of science, society, culture, economy, politics behind one of the most important elements for mankind’s survival.

The book will be released at some point in 2020.
